Editorial Review: Kirkland Signature Minoxidil Extra Strength Hair Regrowth Treatment is for men who have a general thinning of hair on top of the scalp. We all know it takes time to regrow hair. However, with this Kirkland Minoxidil Extra Strength for Men, results may occur at 2 months with twice daily usage. For some men, it may take at least 4 months for results to be seen. Continued use is necessary or Hair Loss will begin again. If you do not see hair regrowth in 4 months, stop use. In studies with 5% Minoxidil Extra Strength Topical Solution for Men, hair regrowth has not been shown to last longer than 48 weeks of continuous treatment in large clinical studies. The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person.

Excellent per unit price. Seems to work! Been using Rogaine or the unbranded Rogaine for probably 12 years or more! Works. Kinda.

 BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT, 2008-02-14
Be careful before you purchase this product. When I received the goods, the package said that "Do not use if your hair loss is on the front of the scalp. 5% minoxidil topical solution is not intended for frontal baldness or receding hairline. This solution is for men with hair loss or thining hair that begins on the vertex of the scalp."
I haven't heard that usage of Rogaine or other hair regrow solutions is either on frontal or vertex hair loss. And there is no such warning on the product description of this Kirkland product before I placed order.

I've used Minoxidil 5% for over 4 years. The choice of Minoxidil was a no-brainer for me. Just the thought of surgery on my scalp would cause me to lose all of my hair. Prescription medicine had unmentionable side effects. So I chose Minoxidil, which has left me with thin but ever-present hair on top to dazzle the ladies. And it's easy on my wallet (cheaper than Rogaine).

I have been using this for about 2 years now. I was 43 when I started and wish I started earlier. Although it is a hassle to put it in 2x a day I believe it has helped to retain my hair. I tried not using it for about 10 days and there was a significant increase in loose hair on my pillow and in the shower so it seems to be working.
I can't really tell if it has helped to grow more hair but it definately keeps what I have.
I have tried the foam and while it was a little faster drying, I experienced quite a bit of hair loss so I switched back to the drops.
If you think you need it, do it now but realize you will need to use it as long as you want to keep your hair.

Hair Loss Sucks, 2007-04-06
I am a 21 year old male and there is definitely hair loss in my family. I didn't think I would lose hair as early as I was (around 20). I figure it was due to stress because I'm currently attending college and I wasn't ready for it. Anyways after I started using this product I saw immediate results within weeks. There definitely some side affects though that you all should be aware about. Within a week of using this product I started having trouble sleeping but it wasn't that bad. I also started to get color change in my hair which I wasn't expecting. I also feel at times that I am more tired than usual (not entirely sure if its the product or just me). My hair was turning lighter and almost seemed like it was thinning also. The worst part of it all though is the product dries out your scalp a lot and you start getting dandruff which I've never had before trying this product. My advice to you is get this product if your having hair trouble but definitely don't overuse it because you will start doubting the product. Anyways, hope this helps!
PS: Try to use small doses and only do it once in the morning after you get out of the shower or else your scalp will get very dry and itchy all day. Also try to apply the product only around the areas you need it. I will keep using this product, but not as much that the box directs you to apply.
